Where do you get your inspiration from? Often this question has been asked when people see my work.
It’s a question with many answers. For me, I’ve always regarded myself as an observer.Ever since I was young I’ve been watching everything around me,nature, people, materials. Always storing in my head the things that touched my soul. Unusual color combinations in flowers, the way people dress, odd shapes of trees, architecture, especially from the past. Louis 16, Gaudi, Hundertwasser. So many beautiful creations from past centuries are like basics to my designs. Combining colors, shapes and materials with a little twist of my own. As long as I can find food for my soul I can create. It is a 24/7 proces.
And luckily many of my clients over the years have told me that my creations for them are food for their souls. What more could I want in life..
